Below is an exerpt of the Lexile reading measurements in relationship to grade levels.

The Oxford Bookworms Library Grading information is found on the last page of the book. Below are the descriptions. Samples are also provided in the back of the books.

Starter

250 Headwords

present simple - present continuous - imperative - can/cannot, must - going to (future) - simple gerunds

Stage 1

400 Headwords

...past simple - coordination with and, but, or - subordination with before, after, because, so

Stage 2                  

700 Headwords

...present perfect - will (future) - (don'thave to, must not could - comparison of adjectives - simple if clauses - past continuous - tag questions - ask/tell + infinitive

Stage 3

1000 Headwords

...should, may  - present perfect continuous -  used to - past perfect causative - relative clauses - indirect statements

Stage 4

1400 Headwords

...past perfect continuous - passive (simple forms) - relatives with where/when -gerund after prepositions/phrases

Stage 5

1800 Headwords

...future continuous - fuure perfect - passive (modals, continuous forms) - would have conditional clauses - modals + perfect infinitive

Stage 6

2500 Headwords

...passive (infinitives, gerunds) - advanced modal meanings - clauses of concession, condition

This Oxford University Press English Language Teaching series is structured similar to the Oxford Bookworms Library. Below are the reading levels. The level information is found on the back cover of each book.

Starter 250 Headwords CEF: A1 Can understand basic notices, instructions or information.
One 400 Headwords CEF: A1-A2 Can understand basic notices, instructions or information. Can understand straightforward information within a known area, such as on products and signs and simple textbooks or reports on familiar matters.
Two 700 Headwords CEF: A2-B1  Can understand straightforward information within a known area, such as on products and signs and simple textbooks or reports on familiar matters. Can understand routine information and articles, and the general meaning of non-routine information within a familiar area.
Three 1000 Headwords CEF: B1 Can understand routine information and articles, and the general meaning of non-routine information within a familiar area.
