Service-Learning Project

Service-Learning Project (Option B)

Coordinated with the March of Remembrance, a nonprofit organization, the theme of the service-learning project is “Life before the Holocaust.” The March of Remembrance holds an annual prayer walk to simultaneously memorialize the victims of the Holocaust and to resist contemporary anti-Semitism.

Service-learning allows for experiential learning, a form of hands-on learning that enhances the learning outcomes of a course. The service-learning project consists of the following assignments: Research Proposal, Annotated Bibliography, and Report. (ENGL 2311 students will also have a Video/Photo essay and a Reflective Essay.)

The research proposal and annotated bibliography will prepare you to write the report.

Note: Some students’ reports may be selected for publication on the March of Remembrance website (after additional revisions).
