Think About Your Research Project

Assignment Mission Briefing!

Before you blast off on your research adventure, make sure you get your mission briefing from your instructor. This will tell you exactly what you need to do for your research assignment.

What's in the Briefing?

  • Mission Length: How long should your research paper be? (Think: word count)
  • Source Squad Size: How many reliable sources will you need to find for your Works Cited page? (Remember, alphabetical order is key!)
  • Mission Timeline: When's blast-off (the due date), and are there any checkpoints (smaller deadlines) along the way?
  • Mission Objectives: Are there any specific topics your instructor wants you to explore, or can you choose your own?

Pro Tip: Read the briefing carefully! It has all the info you need to complete your mission successfully.
