Photo IDs/Library Cards

For Student IDs

  1. The student must be currently enrolled in classes.
  2. The student must have a student ID number.
  3. The student must present a photo ID such as:
    1. Driver's license
    2. Passport
    3. State ID
    4. High school ID

There are no expiration dates on regular student IDs. Health Service's students have expiration dates with the name of their program.

The first ID is free! Students only pay a replacement fee for lost IDs that are less than two years old. Please check with the Library Services Coordinator (Anne McGittigan) if there is doubt when a student received their ID. The date can be verified in ID Credentials.

Replacement ID fee: $10

A student can pay for a replacement card online using "Storefront" or with cash at the business office. If paying online, the student's copy of the receipt will forward to the Circulation email: Kingwood.LRC-Circ@lonestar.edu. The student will need to bring proof of payment/receipt from the Business Office, if paying in cash to the Service Desk's Circulation station employee before a new ID can be made.

Health Services at LSC-Kingwood include:

ADN, Certified Nursing Aide, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Fire, Medical Assisting, Nurse Aide, Occupational Therapy, Phlebotomy, Polysomnography, Respiratory Care, and Vocational Nursing.  Students from these programs obtain a form (with their Health Services program listed on it from their instructor. They bring the form and a photo ID (ie. Driver's license) to the Circulation/ID station at the LC Service Desk.

For Employee IDs

  1. The Employee's supervisor, Access Card Contact (ACC) or Division Office Manager (DOM) fills out the ID Card & Access Form and makes sure that their employee has the correct access. (The LC Service Desk staff are not responsible for access.)
  2. The supervisor, ACC or DOM must sign and date the form.
  3. The employee takes the form and their photo Identification (ie. Driver's license) to the Circulation/ID station where the ID is made.
  4. The employee returns the form to their supervisor, ACC, or DOM or to whomever gave them the form to initiate access.

As of March 2025, Chancellor Castillo instituted the change that Lone Star will no longer charge employees for lost/damaged ID Badges.
