Chapter 11 discusses distinct types of analytical reports (e.g., research reports, recommendation reports). For your research project, you are composing a research report using an analytical framework. Use the same format and structure, including the section headings, as the example analytical report (figure 11.7) in chapter 11 to draft your analytical report.

Communication Concept

Communication Concept
Technical Communication: “Technical information is frequently communicated through documents such as proposals, emails, reports, podcasts, instructions, blogs, and wikis. (For the sake of convenience, we will use the word document throughout this book to refer to all forms of technical communication, from written documents to oral presentations and online forms, such as podcasts and wikis.) Although documents are a key component of technical communication, so, too is the process: writing and reading social media posts and text messages, for example, or participating in videoconferences with colleagues. Technical communication encompasses a set of systematic activities that people do to discover, shape, and transmit information” (Markel & Selber, 2025, pp. 2-3) .
