We created a form as an alternative option to emailing library services. It requires the person's name and contact information. The user must select a service point and then use the text field to explain their problem or ask their question.
The form is emailed to the Kingwood.Library@LoneStar.edu email.
The Library inbox is organized with several subfolders. Setting inbox organization rules is to help direct the emails to the right service group and help avoid missing content. This is not a perfect set up, but we hope it will help. For those emails listed in the main inbox, review and move them to the right subfolder. Make sure to leave it set to unread until the responsible service point has addressed the email.

Keep all actual questions from students, faculty, staff, and the public. We count these in statistics.
Check all email in the spam quarantine to see if an actual question is there. Delete spam emails from the folder, then delete the email from the inbox.
Delete all general spam from vendors, outside companies, and anyone trying to sell us anything. The full-time staff receive emails from these companies, so you do not need to forward this content, just delete it.
Delete all outage reports from GOBI, EBSCO, ProQuest, and any companies we do business with once the situation has been resolved. Issues are usually is fixed by the end of the day. The emails should be cleaned out weekly at a minimum, preferably once things are fixed.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your research/citation question. Our team members, trained to answer these questions are not available at night or on the weekends.
Please use the live chat service where any librarian in the Lone Star College System will be able to help you.
