  1. Clock in for your time on one of the computers before turning on other computers.

  • Open only the left door that leads outside towards CLA with the hex key.  IMPORTANT: Do NOT use the hex key on the right handicap door. This will break the handicap door as well as the Access card part of the door.
  • On Saturdays: The Computer Labs are closed unless someone asks for the space (usually the silent study one.)
  1. Welcome folks in! 😊

If you are the opener for the Circulation Station:  log in to ID Credentials and the Barcode generator.

If you are the opener for the Learning Support/Tutoring Station: Log into WCONLINE. Use your own login for this station.

If you are the opener for the Tech Station:

  • Log in to Pharos using your unique Employee ID number with S or E in front of it and your Lone Star password and log in to Guest Access using your Lone Star username and password.
  • Make sure the screens for the Print Release station are working.  (You may have to go to Start menu and click on “Pharos Station.”)

CLOSING PROCEDURES

  • Everyone should be out of the Computer Labs and the lights turned off.
  • The ID Station is closed.
  • Remind everyone in the Learning Commons that it is closing in 15 minutes.
  • (Optional: You can switch off the light marked “15 minutes” then turn it back on. This usually makes students more aware of the time.)

  • In the last 15 minutes:

  • Lock the left door that leads outside towards CLA with the hex key. Lock both foyer doors leading into the Book Drop area with the hex key.

  • Close/log out programs on computers and Log off the Service Desk computers EXCEPT for the one needed to clock out for time.  (It may be the TECH station computer since there might be last minute printing.)

  • Turn off the lights by the printer.
  • Turn off the lights and shut the door to the Work Room.

  • Make sure everyone is out. (Let Anne know if tutors are having difficulty leaving. You can send Anne a text. She will let Charlotte know because of their time.)
  • Turn out the lights in the Learning Commons and the foyer.  Exception: On Fridays, Full-timers may still be in the space, turn off all of the lights except the lights marked Hall and Entry.

  • Lock the door facing the stairs, but first, flip the door switches (within the door) to lock the handicap door.

  • Leave by way of the doors leading towards CLA (unless you have a key.) Instruct others to do the same.

  • Enjoy the rest of your day! 😊
