Explaining the Tutoring process to a first timer for Walk-in Math/Science:
“ Tutoring takes place behind this row of computers at any of the numbered tables. The tutors sit at the numbered tables. You can work on your assignments at these tables. We will give you a “table topper” which you lay on its side until you need help. When you have a question, stand the table topper up. This lets the tutor know that you need help. A tutor will come help you with your question, and then leaves to assist other students. If the tutor doesn’t immediately see you, try raising your hand, but please be patient. You can stay for as long as you’d like (until the Learning Commons closes) but when you are finished or ready to leave, please come back to the front desk with your table topper so we can check you out.”
