- Search in your work email for recent emails from LSC-Organizational Development. They often have current links to OnDemand webinars. Here is another way to access:
Log into your my.lonestar and click on the employee tile. To the left, under Links, is Org Dev. There are links to additional Professional Development/Learning Opportunities including LSC LinkedIn Learning Access.
- LinkedIn Learning – Learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals.
- Webjunction courses and webinar archives are free to all library workers. Create a new account to access: Webjunction Courses
- Once you have created your account, type “Customer service,” in the Webjunction course catalog search box. A particularly useful one is “Dealing with Angry Patrons.” This course is designed to help improve your skills in dealing effectively with angry customers. It includes practice with realistic patron encounters. Feel free to explore other courses in Webjunction for additional Professional Development opportunities.
- Please note: While most online Professional Development videos have closed captioning, there are some that do not. You are welcome to use an ear bud at the desk in one ear when watching a Professional Development video as long as you can still hear and assist when needed.
