Good news from Katie McGittigan! She has hired PT librarians to cover evenings and Saturdays. This is for all LSC libraries who don't have coverage at night or on weekends. As Katie said, part of the arrangement with getting these librarians was to help all LSC and not just for those online. While we will need to stat on our Stat sheet that we didn't have a librarian, please make sure to tell the student that librarian help is available on chat and a consultation can be scheduled using the link below. This way no student is turned away who needs a librarian.
Extended Availability for Library Chat and Research Appointments:
Mondays and Thursdays until 7pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 9:30pm
Fridays until 6pm
Saturdays from 9am to 1pm

In the spirit of one LSC and sharing resources, I just wanted to share my updated librarian hours for LSC-Online in case it’s helpful. Starting next week, I have part time librarians covering evenings and Saturdays (see below for hours). If you have any students in any need of late evening research or citation support, feel free to send them our way. They will be available on chat, email, and online appointments.
Part of our arrangement when getting these new positions was that they could be a help to students across LSC, not just Online. 😊
