  1. Wait to see if someone returns.
  2. Bring it to the circulation team.
  3. The circulation team will try to contact the person.

Remember, the first route to solving any IT problem will always be to try turning it off and on again.

Hard reboot the computer. If it does not turn on:

1. Note the laptop's number (KC-LT-L100-##) and email Mikha.

2. Instruct the student to return the laptop to the kiosk. Make sure the student answers the prompt about a problem with the laptop. Have them check out a new one.

3. Make sure the laptop lights up red. If it does not, contact Anne or Mikha.

The laptop lost it's default domain. Do not change the wireless settings. Plus it into the blue Ethernet cable at the ADA desk and see if the student can log in that way. If this doesn't work:

Double-tap the top left corner of the touchpad to turn it back on.

1. Check that they are entering their username and password in correctly.
2. Check to make sure that the computer isn't locked, which would happen if the previous user locked the computer rather than logging out. The computer will let another user sign in, but they have to choose to log in as other user. If this does not work, restart the computer.
3. May be a domain issue. Have them connect to the Ethernet cable at the ADA desk and log in that way."
