Place the sheets of paper upside down facing away from  you (looking at the wall).

  • It will scan both sides.
  • It will scan 40 pages a minute.

Paper Jam

In front of the paper feeder there is a handle that looks like it could hold a credit card. Push it forward to open the cover and remove the paper.

Footpedal

Occasionally the foot pedal will stop working. It seems to happen after a power outage. If it happens, reboot both the computer (get out the keyboard and hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete to get back to the main computer screen and restart) and the scanner (hold down the power button for 30 seconds). The computer should reboot first to properly connect with the scanner.

At this time, place the out of order sign on the book tray and let Mikha know what is the problem.

Include the following information:

  • Which scanner is having problems?
  • What was done leading up to the issue? What buttons were pushes, what actions were taken, etc?
  • What type of document what being scanned? How many pages? What size?
  • How was the document being saved or was it going to be printed?

Touch Screen Cleaning

Use a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints. If it needs additional cleaning, you may use screen cleaner on the cloth. Do not spay any cleaner on the screen itself.
